FAQs
How is Rolfing different than massage?
Rolfing is dedicated to enhancing the long-term movement and functionality of your body. In contrast to massage, which primarily aims for immediate relaxation, Rolfing concentrates on aligning your body's structure and improving your posture gradually.
Rather than addressing isolated issues, Rolfing promotes an overall sense of balance and ease throughout your entire body. Through the process of organizing and aligning your body, Rolfing alleviates ongoing tension, fostering increased comfort and a more natural range of movement.
What is the 10-series?
The ten-series protocol is a personalized plan that systematically reorganizes the body. We start by focusing on surface layers in the first three sessions, then progressively address deeper structures in sessions four through seven. The final three sessions integrate the body, promoting better balance, enhanced movement, and increased energy. Each session is customized to consider unique structural and functional patterns. The traditional ten-session journey gradually moves from surface to deep structures, aiming to refine movement efficiency. The entire process typically spans around 5-10 weeks but can vary depending on your schedule.
You can also experience the benefts of Rolfing without committing to the entire 10-series. Many see results within 1-3 sessions, and by then, you’ll be able to tell if Rolfing is right for you! At your first visit, we will come up with a personalized treatment plan, and this is flexible and can be changed at any time.
